I just saw something called a Dodge Kingsway. Just like this, but green and cream.

Kinja'd!!!

The owner said it was his dad's in India, and brought it over here when he moved to Canada. It's really confusing to see a car like this that's RHD

You think that’s weird? How about a RHD Pontiac Parisienne.

Finland and most of the other parts of Europe got these export spec Chrysler products too. Besides the Kingsway the other common model was the Desoto Diplomat. The treatment was the same. A Plymouth body with more expensive looking front end. Ours were of course normal LHD models. You will see these still sometimes in local gatherings. I remember hearing that all export spec Kingsways/Diplomats were assembled in Canada.

Here’s one very rare thing as for some reason convertibles got the same treatment.

Oh cool! Yeah I think at least some were made in Ontario, but I haven't read too much about them yet. Oh wow, I can't say I enjoy the spare wheel placement, but it's certainly interesting

I think that the spare wheel has been added later. Some guy probably liked to have one after seeing similar in never models.

Plodges really were a Canadian domestic market idiosyncrasy, so it would make sense that that would be their source for global exports.
